Egypt's stance in supporting Palestinian cause clear throughout history, AL's assistant chief

CAIRO – 18 July 2025: Arab League’s Assistant Secretary-General Hussain Hindawi said the position of Egypt’s leadership, government, and people in support of the Palestinian cause has always been clear throughout history and represents a significant political realism in the context of Egypt’s pivotal role in the region.

In statements on the sidelines of the "Amman: Capital of Arab Youth 2025" recently held in Jordan, Hindawi said Egypt’s stance in supporting Palestinians in general and the Palestinian youth in particular is extremely important and has consistently existed throughout history.

This position has strategic dimensions in light of ongoing conflicts and developments regarding the Palestinian issue, he added.

The official highlighted Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy’s speech during the forum regarding support for the Palestinian youth and their cause, noting that it confirms the strength and firmness of Egypt’s stance in this regard.

Such positions contribute to maintaining the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, and serve as a source of strength for the Palestinian youth, Hindawi said.

Regarding his view on Egypt's youth support policies, the Arab League official said they are very important and constructive.

Egypt is a great and significant country with immense potential and has made its presence known on the global stage in all fields, not just in youth and sports, he pointed out.
