Algerian student Rahma Ayat who was killed in a terrorist attack in Germany - Algerian News Network
CAIRO - 15 July 2025: Al-Azhar Al-Sharif condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack targeting Algerian student Rahma Ayat in the German city of Hanover, carried out by a German right-wing terrorist.
The 26-year-old Algerian woman was stabbed to death in Hannover, Germany on July 4 in the stairwell of her apartment building in Arnum, south of Hanover, according to police reports. Ayat died from multiple stab wounds, according to media reports quoting the autopsy.
Al-Azhar stressed the need to firmly confront right-wing terrorism and the new white nationalism, which pose a growing threat to Muslims and refugees in Europe. Al-Azhar also emphasized the need to enact legal deterrence against these terrorist practices.
Al-Azhar condemns this abhorrent terrorist act and offers its sincere condolences to the family of student Rahma Ayat, praying to God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon her soul and to grant her family and loved ones patience and solace.
