CAIRO – 10 July 2025: Israeli forces said they killed two Palestinian people at Gush Etzion Junction in the West Bank on Thursday after the duo allegedly carried out a combined shooting and stabbing attack.

According to the Israeli reports, the perpetrators killed an Israeli man in his 20s. He was pronounced dead after examinations the paramedics, who said his wounds were too severe.

The Israeli army says its soldiers and other armed personnel fired at the perpetrators and killed them.

The Israel police reported “several casualties” in the attack, saying that search is underway for additional suspects.

Following the attack, the Israeli army said it has encircled the village of Halhul and conducted blockades in the area.

The attack comes while Israeli forces and settlers have escalated violence against Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, killing hundreds of Palestinians and detaining thousands.

In Gaza, Israel has launched an unrelenting war that claimed the lives of over 57,700 people and injured more than 137,600 with the majority of casualties being women and children, according to the enclave’s health ministry.
