This visit is part of efforts to enhance international cooperation, develop the primary healthcare system, and support Egypt’s health infrastructure.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that cooperation between the Health Ministry and the French side represents a model of international collaboration.
The visit falls within the framework of a plan to support the development of primary healthcare units in Kafr El Sheikh and Minya governorates.
This comes in preparation for the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance System (UHIS) in the governorates included under the second phase.
During the visit, both sides discussed ways to support the development of medical and administrative capacities of healthcare workers through specialized training programs and leveraging international expertise, the spokesman said.
This aims to improve the efficiency of medical staff and the quality of services provided to citizens, he added.
The talks also tackled means of establishing green health units that comply with environmental sustainability standards and adapt to climate change.
This is part of the Ministry’s plan to expand eco-friendly health facilities and strengthen the health system’s ability to face future environmental challenges.
Representatives of the French delegation commended the ongoing cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Health, stressing their commitment to continue supporting efforts to develop health infrastructure and enhance medical staff capabilities.
They said that they are looking forward to furthering collaboration in future projects.
