President El-Sisi congratulates Denmark for assumption of EU Council Presidency

CAIRO – 3 July 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his congratulations to Denmark for the assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 

“I extend my sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King of Denmark, His Excellency the Prime Minister of Denmark, and the Government and people of the friendly Kingdom of Denmark on the occasion of Denmark’s assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union,” said President El-Sisi.

“We are fully confident that Denmark will undertake this responsibility in a spirit of cooperation and accountability. We therefore look forward to its presidency contributing to the promotion of peace, stability, justice, and growth across the European continent and the world at large,” the president added.

President El-Sisi further emphasized Egypt’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Denmark during its EU Council Presidency. "We reaffirm our aspiration to coordinate closely with Denmark in this capacity to advance the interests of the African continent and developing nations, and to strengthen Europe's engagement with the Middle East in a way that promotes inclusive and equitable partnerships."
