CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Sudanese consul was given 72 hours to leave the Libyan territory and close the consulate, Libyan foreign minister deputy announced in a press statement on Wednesday.

The deputy of Libyan foreign minister said that the decision of closure of the Sudanese consulate in al-Kufra city in Libya came as a consequence of the practices and polices carried out by the consulate staff, which contradict with the policy and laws set by Libya government .

Earlier, The Libyan military spokesman Ahmed al-Mesmari accused Sudan of funding and supporting “Terrorist groups” in Libya territories; they continued to accuse them of providing weapons from Qatar and Iran through Sudanese borders.

Mesmary said that Sudan has transported explosives in ambulances because they were not inspected by the national army for humanitarian purposes.

He said that weapons and ammunition were bought from Sudan and sent to Libya by land' and the other way was directly from Qatar via airspace where air military bases that fell in the hands of terrorist groups served that purpose.
