CAIRO - 24 June 2025: The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that, in light of the ongoing field monitoring of operations at Egyptian airports, particularly following the closure of airspace by several neighboring countries due to the current regional events, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, monitored the operational situation moment by moment from the Operations Room and Crisis Management Center at Cairo International Airport.
The Ministry clarified in a statement that air traffic has gradually resumed between Egypt and Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, following the reopening of their airspace to air traffic.
In this context, the Ministry affirms its continued direct coordination and close monitoring with all airlines operating at Egyptian airports, ensuring regular operations and rapid response to any developments, while fully adhering to the highest standards of aviation safety and operational efficiency, in accordance with approved international regulations and standards.
