Trump: No decision yet on US involvement in Israel-Iran war

WASHINGTON- 18 June 2025: US President Donald Trump said that he has not decided whether the US will get involved in a possible war between Israel and Iran.

In press statements at the White House, the US President said that he prefers de-escalation and has a meeting scheduled shortly to discuss the situation.

Trump added that the US has advanced, undisclosed aircraft and the best weapons in the world, but he does not want war.

He noted that Iran is interested in nuclear talks, and a meeting could take place.

The US President also outlined that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, claiming it was just weeks away from doing so.

He confirmed that the door remains open for a possible agreement with Iran
