The meeting marked 60 years since Egypt and Gambia established diplomatic ties.
Abdelatty noted that Egypt was among the first nations to recognize Gambia after its independence in 1965.
The talks addressed agriculture, fisheries, health, and education, with both sides agreeing to promote investment and private-sector engagement.
During the meeting, Abdelatty conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to President Adama Barrow, while Tangara delivered a message in return.
The ministers also discussed the upcoming opening of a Gambian embassy in Cairo.
