CAIRO - 29 May 2025: Surgeons have rescued a two-year-old cat at the Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Center in Gharbia governorate, the Delta after it had been hit by car.
The veterinarians, who work at Gharbia Veterinary Medicine Directorate, performed a delicate surgery on the cat, stabilizing a fractured lower jaw bone and removing its right eye.
A bystander brought the cat after the accident to the center, where the feline went through tests and x-rays.

It was then cat anesthetized in preparation for the surgery.
The surgery was performed under the supervision of Dr. Sahar El-Shafei, Head of the Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Center, with the participation of Dr. Marwa Nafeh, Dr. Mohamed El-Marakby, and Dr. Mohamed El-Khouly. The operation was a success.
El-Shafei said the cat’s health is stable.
