CAIRO – 23 May 2025: The Houthis announced on Friday targeting Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv on Friday with a hypersonic ballistic missile, marking their fourth attack on Israel this week.
“The operation has successfully achieved its objective,” Houthis’ spokesman Yahya Saree announced in a video statement.
“It caused millions of herds of usurping Zionists to flee to shelters and halting airport operations,” he added.
Saree warned that the Houthis’ operations against Israel “will escalate” as long as the Israeli attacks and besiege on Gaza persist.

The Israeli army announced intercepting the attack with no reports of injuries or damage.
The missile attack set off sirens early today in central Israel, including Tel Aviv, according to Israeli reports, causing nearly a million residents to rush to bomb shelters.
The Houthis, who have launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones on Israel since the start of the Israeli war in Gaza in 2023, say their fresh attack comes in affirmation of their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Their attacks have continued despite Israeli airstrikes that targeted ports and other vital facilities in Yemen and killed several people.
The war in Gaza has killed nearly 54,000 people, predominantly women and children, according to local health officials.
