CAIRO – 16 May 2025: Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, met on Friday with Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar, UAE Minister of State, on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Arab Summit in Baghdad.
The two ministers reviewed the strong and longstanding ties between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across political, economic, investment, and trade sectors.
The meeting also covered key regional developments, with both sides exchanging views on several pressing issues, including the situations in Gaza, Yemen, Libya, and Syria. They underscored the importance of maintaining close coordination and continued consultation between the two countries to address regional challenges and promote stability.
Abdelaaty departed for Baghdad on Wednesday, May 14, to participate in the Arab League Council’s ministerial-level meeting in preparation for the upcoming Arab Summit.
