EU Ambassador in Cairo express appreciation for Egypt’s role to achieving ceasefire in Gaza

CAIRO – 16 May 2025: Angelina Eichhorst, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, confirmed that trade relations between Egypt and the European Union are witnessing significant growth.

During a press conference, the Ambassador expressed the European Union's appreciation for the role Egypt plays in maintaining regional stability and Cairo's intensive daily efforts in the Gaza Strip to achieve a sustainable ceasefire, as well as its support for the political horizon of the Palestinian cause.

She noted that Egypt plays a major political role in supporting the Palestinian cause and is participating with the European Union, France, and Saudi Arabia in preparing for the peace conference scheduled to be held next June in New York, whose main theme will be “Implementing the Two-State Solution.”
