Egypt condemns intense targeting of civilian infrastructure in Port Sudan

CAIRO - 6 May 2025: Egypt condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the intense targeting of civilian facilities and infrastructure in Port Sudan at dawn today, May 6.

 

Egypt stresses the seriousness of the recent escalation and its profoundly negative impact on ceasefire efforts, the protection of civilians, and the enhancement of humanitarian access to those in need in brotherly Sudan.

 

Egypt also reiterated its categorical rejection of any targeting of civilian facilities in violation of international humanitarian law, which harms the state's capabilities and the daily lives of citizens.
