CAIRO – 23 April 2025: A 6.02 magnitude, 10-km deep earthquake struck Türkiye on Wednesday, reported the country’s disaster and emergency management agency.
There were no immediate reports of damage or wounds due to the quake, which shook Istanbul and was reportedly felt in neighboring regions, causing many to leave their homes in panic.
The Turkish agency urged residents to steer away from buildings.
