He pointed out that Khartoum Process started ten years ago and it is a dialogue forum between the countries of the Horn of Africa and the European countries.
In statements to MENA on Thursday, Voridis said that the participants necessitated presenting support to legal migration as it caters for countries' needs of regular labor.
There is a dire need for international cooperation to face up the phenomenon of illegal migration, he said.
Several countries, including Egypt and Greece, face serious challenges due to the current conflicts in the region because of the big number of humans who want to immigrate and the volume of money won by the smugglers, he said.
Voridis said that he held fruitful meetings with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran and Deputy Foreign Minister for Emigration Affairs Nabil el Habashi on boosting cooperation with Egypt to export skillful labor to Greece to meet the needs of the sectors of agriculture and construction and work on preventing illegal immigration coming from Egypt.
