Total Solar eclipse - file
CAIRO - 8 April 2025: Fans of astronomical phenomena and eclipses are already anticipating the most important astronomical event of this century: the total solar eclipse on August 2, 2027.
This event is particularly significant because it will be visible in Egypt.
Dr. Ashraf Tadros, Professor of Astronomy at the National Institute of Astronomical Research, revealed that the total solar eclipse, which will occur in Egypt on Monday, August 2, 2027, is the most important astronomical event or phenomenon that Egypt will witness this century.
The professor of astronomy at the National Institute of Astronomical Research added, that this eclipse will be a rare total solar eclipse, the longest of its kind in the 21st century, lasting for more than six minutes and twenty seconds.
