CAIRO – 7 April 2025: Egyptian, French, and Jordanian leaders held a joint phone call with US President Donald Trump, on the sidelines of the tripartite summit held in Cairo on April 7, 2025.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency indicated that the three leaders discussed with President Trump ways to ensure an urgent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need to resume full access for the delivery of humanitarian aid and the immediate release of all hostages and detainees.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson, added that the three leaders emphasized the importance of creating the appropriate conditions to achieve a genuine political horizon and mobilizing international efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, restore security and peace for all, and implement the two-state solution, noting that the three leaders and President Trump agreed to remain in close contact.
The official spokesperson mentioned that the call also addressed the importance of accelerating the achievement of peace in Ukraine in line with international law and the shared need for international security and stability.
