CAIRO - 5 April 2025: The population clock atop the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) building announced Saturday that Egypt's domestic population has reached 107.5 million; an increase of 500,000 people in 154 days.
The population of Egypt was recorded at 107 million on November 2 of last year.
The census indicated that Egypt recorded its first quarter million population after the 107 million domestic population on January 13, within 72 days, bringing the total population to 107.25 million. The population then increased by a quarter million people the following day, within 82 days.
Cairo topped the list of the ten most populous governorates, with a population of 10.4 million. Giza came in second rank with 9.7 million, followed by Sharqia with 8.1 million, then Dakahlia with 7.2 million, then Beheira with 7 million, then Minya with 6.5 million, then Qalyubia with 6.3 million, then Sohag with 5.9 million, then Alexandria with 5.6 million, and finally Gharbia with 5.5 million.
