CAIRO – 2 April 2025: Beheira Governorate has witnessed a significant surge in service and development projects, particularly in infrastructure projects, which are considered a fundamental pillar of development in Egypt.
Among the most important infrastructure projects implemented in Beheira Governorate during the past period are road and bridge projects. The governorate has seen the implementation of 48 new projects at a cost of more than 4 billion Egyptian pounds. Additionally, 22 other projects are currently underway at a cost of 2 billion and 570 million Egyptian pounds.
These projects come within the framework of the state's sustainable development plan, which aims to provide a modern and safe road network, enhancing transportation and creating new job opportunities, as well as boosting trade and economic activity in the region.
These projects also align with the development of the roads and bridges sector, which aims to improve road infrastructure and enhance connectivity between governorates and various regions, contributing to stimulating investment and driving economic and social development.
