CAIRO - 24 March 2025: Egypt has affirmed its firm position of absolute rejection for any attempt to forcibly or voluntarily displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to any other location or country, particularly to Egypt.
In a statement released by the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS), it was stated that any displacement of Palestinians would undermine the Palestinian cause and pose a grave threat to Egyptian national security.
The SIS also confirmed Egypt’s complete rejection to all allegations circulated by some media outlets linking Egypt's acceptance of Palestinians' displacement to the economic aid it receives.
The statement emphasized that Egyptian foreign policy in general has never been based on ‘bartering’ Egyptian and Arab interest for any price.
Egypt's position on the Palestinian issue, has been unwavering for more than three-quarters of a century, SIS stated.
It concluded the statement by saying that Egypt has not only declared its absolute rejection of the displacement proposal since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza in the political and diplomatic arenas. Rather, it has been declaring its rejection loudly and clearly from the outset of this aggression through its political leaders.
