During a meeting here on Saturday to discuss ways to cement bilateral and follow up on the results of Abdelatty’s recent visit to Eritrea on February 28, the top diplomats exchanged their views on a raft of regional issues of mutual concern, mainly the situation in Sudan and the latest developments in the Sahel and the Red Sea regions.
The two sides emphasized the need to provide all means of support to Sudan’s state institutions to preserve the country's unity and territorial integrity.
Meanwhile, Abdelatty said he is looking forward to exploring new prospects of cooperation at the political, economic, and commercial levels while maintaining the trilateral coordination mechanism between Egypt, Eritrea, and Somalia, the first ministerial meeting of which was held in Cairo in January.
