Egypt’s Meteorological Authority Warns of Cold Weather

CAIRO – 22 March 2025: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a warning regarding continued low temperatures across most parts of the country, urging citizens to wear warm clothing, particularly during the cold nights.

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, corresponding to the 22nd day of Ramadan, temperatures dropped across the country. Cool weather prevailed during the day in northern Egypt and northern Upper Egypt, while southern Upper Egypt experienced moderate conditions. Nights and early mornings were cold in most parts of the country.

The EMA has predicted similar weather conditions for Sunday, March 23, 2025, corresponding to the 23rd day of Ramadan, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold nights and early mornings across most regions.

Morning mist is expected to form on some agricultural roads, highways, and roads near the Nile, particularly leading to and from Greater Cairo, the Delta, the North Coast, the Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt.
