CAIRO – 26 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has declared a number of economic decisions related to development in the closing session of the fourth National Youth Conference held in Alexandria on Tuesday.

The conference that was attended by around 1500 youth along with parliamentarians, heads of unions and universities, journalists, public figures, has tackled a number of controversial issues that were raised in the country during the recent period.

Regarding development decisions, Sisi assigned the government to use the group of youngsters to develop a mechanism to follow and evaluate the implementation of the 2030 Strategy on periodic basis.

Egypt’s vision of 2030 was introduced during the conference by Minister of Planning and Development Hala al-Saeed, to be program including development for education, health, urban, road and transport network, agricultural, and energy and electricity sectors.

Among development in Alexandria, the president called on intensifying the efforts of the government and the state to implement necessary development procedures required in Alexandria Governorate, which could happen by increasing the urban area of the city with an area of 18,000 acres, as well as taking all the executive procedures for developing the traffic axes and completing the studies related to them by the end of 2017.

He further ordered developing ‘Bashaer al-Khair’ area in Alexandria, with a total of 7,500 units to be finished in mid 2018, and to develop Rasheed Archaeological city within three years. Sisi also decided to immediately begin in completing operational studies for implementing development in West Egypt.

The president also made additional decisions regarding developments of lands and residential areas across the nation.
