CAIRO – 12 March 2025: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, said on Wednesday that the country is dealing with surrounding challenges in the region ‘very carefully’ and with ‘great patience’.

He added that Egyptian people, have the capability of making everything easy to be handled despite how difficult things might be. He affirmed that the Egyptian state is stable and firm.

“Egyptians are the ones who have made it possible for us to confront these difficult circumstances despite their harshness. With you, Egyptians, and God Almighty, who is watching us and sees how we manage things, we strive for calm, a ceasefire, averting disputes, and doing everything possible to calm and stop conflicts, fighting, and wars,” Sisi said during having Iftar with staff and students of the Egyptian Military Academy.

He said that ‘Egyptians are currently feeling anxious’ due to the anxious, as ‘the whole the world, not just the region, is experiencing rapid events.’ President Sisi affirmed that ‘preserving the Egyptian state and its capabilities is our primary concern’.

 

President Sisi welcomed the students and their families affirming that the programs taught at the academy significantly develop individuals as they are designed by specialist university professors in psychology, sociology, behavioral sciences, and cognitive programs.

“The new students will gain a very good level of knowledge, whether in engineering, computer engineering, politics and economics, or logistics,” Sisi said. He added: “We have tried to develop a well-rounded personality capable of managing affairs in a very professional manner. The students here receive good attention; they are in safe hands and receive full care, respect, appreciation, and various sciences and skills."

President Sisi visited on Wednesday the Military Academy and had Iftar meal with the faculty staff and students.

He Sisi congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the 10th of Ramadan victory which coincides with Egypt and the Armed Forces' celebration of Martyrs’ Day.

He emphasized that Egypt will never forget the sacrifices and heroism of its sons who sacrificed their lives to preserve the nation's security and protect its sacred sites.

The meeting tackled several regional and international issues and their impact on Egypt’s national security.

President Sisi affirmed that the Egyptian State always stands by its brothers in times of hardship and crises and that Egypt’s pioneering position is a source of pride, noting
that Egypt's wise and wavering positions are etched in letters of gold in history to establish security, stability, and peace in the region.

The President highlighted the efforts made by the Egyptian state and its institutions in various fields to ensure a decent life for citizens.

President Sisi stressed the importance of awareness and proper understanding of the emerging issues, reinforcing the foundations of Egypt’s national security.

The President urged the academy’s students and civilian course participants to exert their utmost effort throughout their studies to become among the nation’s distinguished youth, as they represent the future of the nation. President Sisi added that nations are built by the dedication and hard work of their loyal citizens.

Furthermore, President Sisi extended his appreciation and respect to the students’ families for their role in raising and instilling in them deep-rooted values of patriotism. Concluding his visit, the President performed Maghrib prayer at the academy’s mosque.

During Iftar, President Sisi was accompanied by General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, along with Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the commanders of the main branches, and several military leaders.
