CAIRO - 12 March 2025: "The British Ambassador to Egypt, Gareth Bayley, visited Al-Arish General Hospital in North Sinai Governorate, where he met with Palestinian wounded arriving from the Gaza Strip for treatment.

 

This visit comes within the framework of following up on Egyptian efforts in receiving the injured and providing them with healthcare.

 

During his tour, Ambassador Bayley praised the humanitarian role that Egypt plays in aiding Palestinians, noting the intensive efforts made by the Egyptian authorities to receive the injured and provide them with the necessary treatment in Sinai hospitals.

 

He also praised the ongoing coordination to transport humanitarian aid across the Rafah crossing, to ensure the arrival of medical and food supplies to the Strip.

 

During his visit, the Ambassador inspected the hospital's facilities and available medical capabilities, where he met with a number of patients and listened to their suffering.

 

Egypt continues its efforts in receiving patients and the injured from the Gaza Strip, and providing them with medical services within its humanitarian role to support the Palestinian brothers."
