CAIRO – March 9, 2025: Egypt’s renowned Giza Zoo and Orman Garden, one of the country’s famous botanical gardens, will officially reopen to the public in September 2025 following extensive development, announced Hadayek Company, which specializes in managing and operating parks, on Sunday.
The company revealed that the newly revamped attractions will offer a unique entertainment experience at the highest international standards. This will be achieved through a partnership with a team of international consultants and experts who will focus on ensuring top-tier animal care, heritage preservation, and botanical garden maintenance, allowing visitors to enjoy a blend of entertainment and historical heritage.
Mohamed Kamel, CEO of Hadayek Company, emphasized, "This project marks a significant advancement in Egypt's entertainment and tourism sectors, merging innovation and modernity with the preservation of our rich historical legacy."
Giza Zoo, the largest zoo in Cairo, spans 112 acres and is home to approximately 3,000 historic trees, rare plants, and a remarkable collection of 186 species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. Originally opened during the reign of Khedive Ismail, it holds the distinction of being the first zoo in Africa and the Middle East, and the third-oldest zoo in the world.
