Egypt receives 30th batch of Gaza wounded

CAIRO – 5 March 2025: Egypt welcomed the 30th batch of wounded individuals from Gaza on Wednesday, with 37 injured and ill Palestinians and 57 companions entering through the Rafah border crossing. Egypt continues to provide critical medical care as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people.

Upon arrival at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, the wounded were transported by fully equipped ambulances to Al-Arish General Hospital. They underwent initial medical examinations to assess their health conditions.

Medical teams remain on high alert to receive additional injured individuals expected in this batch. This follows the arrival of the 29th batch two days prior, which included 25 wounded and ill individuals, who were also transferred to Egyptian hospitals for treatment.

Hospitals in North Sinai have been reinforced with specialized medical staff and advanced medical equipment to ensure high-quality care. Egypt has received many injured Palestinians since the start of the crisis, and they have been treated in hospitals in Al-Arish, Ismailia, and Cairo.

Major General Khaled Majawar, Governor of North Sinai, affirmed the governorate's commitment to providing all necessary facilities for receiving and treating Palestinian wounded. He also added that there is continuous coordination between all the concerned parties, to make sure that all injured people are moved to the appropriate hospitals quickly.

These Egyptian efforts are in line with the continued directives of the political leadership to provide full support to the injured Palestinians and facilitate their treatment in Egypt.

Egypt's ongoing efforts aim to save lives and alleviate the suffering of the wounded and their families. Egypt has been playing a large role in helping the people of Gaza.
