During the meeting, the two sides discussed re-activating the agreements signed by the two countries' health ministries, along with exchanging medical expertise.
Regarding the medicines and vaccines sector, the two parties discussed the possibility of exporting Egyptian medicines to Armenia, and concluding bilateral agreements in this regard.
Also, an invitation was extended to the Armenian side to visit the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) to stand on procedures for registering and exporting pharmaceuticals, particularly through "VACSERA" company.
The two sides also discussed arranging a visit for a group of Egyptian drug manufacturers and health workers to Armenia in July, with the view to exploring opportunities for cooperation between companies and medical centers in the two countries, and beefing up joint healthcare and pharma investments.
For his part, the Armenian diplomat said he looks forward to benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in the fields of manufacturing and localizing medicines, providing medical training, and exchanging medical expertise.
Amb. Sargsyan also extended an official invitation to the Egyptian health minister to visit Armenia with the view to promoting bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
