CAIRO - 3 March 2025: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that the specialized dental medical convoy will continue its work in Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, Arish General Hospital, and Bir al-Abd Model Hospital, where the injured Palestinians and their companions were examined, diagnosed, and treated.
This comes within the framework of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's directives to provide health support and comprehensive medical care to the Palestinian brothers.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the convoy included an elite group of doctors specialized in dentistry, led by Dr. Medhat Manji, a dental expert in the United States of America, in addition to Dr. Walid Hassan, Dr. Shaheen Hisham, Dr. Ahmed Ali Hassan, and Dr. Ahmed Fikry Abdel Qader, noting that the medical team has harnessed its expertise to provide the best treatment services to Palestinian patients.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the services provided included examining and diagnosing cases, in addition to specialized treatments in the field of dentistry.
The total number of cases dealt with was 154, as medical services were provided to 66 cases at Al-Arish General Hospital, 69 cases at Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, and 19 cases at Bir al-Abd Model Hospital.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that this convoy comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to support the Palestinian health sector, by providing specialized medical care, confirming Egypt's leading role in supporting health and humanitarian issues at the regional and international levels.
