Egyptian hospitals and clinics are on high alert during Ramadan

CAIRO – 2 March 2025: Egyptian hospitals and clinics are on high alert for the holy month of Ramadan to ensure proper health services are provided to citizens around the clock nationwide, said Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Insurance, in a statement on Sunday.

He added that there will be periodic reviews and monitoring of medical staff to ensure that patients receive uninterrupted care.

Hospitals and clinics will be operational from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday. Any exceptions will be allowed only until 8:15 am, and delays will be calculated until 8:30 am.

The head of the Central Administration of Medical Committees is responsible for determining the working hours of the medical committees, taking into account the nature of their work, and ensuring that the committees are informed of these times.
