CAIRO - 26 February 2025: Egypt continues its humanitarian efforts to support the residents of the Gaza Strip, as a new batch of urgent relief aid entered the Strip Wednesday, coinciding with the Egyptian medical teams preparing to receive the 24th batch of wounded and injured Palestinians coming for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

The relief convoy that arrived Wednesday included trucks loaded with food supplies and essential living needs, in addition to fuel tankers designated to operate hospitals, power plants and vital facilities in the Strip.

According to official statistics, the day began with the entry of 160 aid trucks and 4 fuel tankers, with work continuing until the end of the day to ensure the flow of humanitarian supplies to the people of Gaza who are facing difficult circumstances in light of the current situation.

A responsible source at the Rafah crossing confirmed that all aid passes through precise organizational procedures that include registering shipments and establishing a barcode system to track their path, and coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure that they reach those entitled to them. He added that the crossing process takes place through the Al-Auja and Kerem Abu Salem crossings, where the Palestinian Red Crescent and the relevant authorities inside Gaza are responsible for receiving the shipments and distributing them according to an organized plan that ensures their arrival to hospitals, relief centers and the neediest families.

The source pointed out that these efforts come within the framework of the ongoing coordination between Egypt and international relief organizations to ensure the flow of humanitarian support and address the challenges facing the sector, especially in the health and service fields.
