Pensions, monetary subsidies raises to be applied in July 2025 in Egypt

CAIRO – 26 February 2025: President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi met Wednesday Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk to confer over the social protection package prepared by the government.

That will be manifested in the increase of monthly amounts disbursed through the monetary subsidies programme Takaful W Karama, and raises for pensioners and public employees by July 2025.

The president was also briefed on the status of the strategic stocks of staple goods, given that demand increases during the holy month of Ramadan that will begin on Saturday. In that framework, the president urged maintaining temporary/mobile markets offering subsidized food products.
