CAIRO - 25 February 2025: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population published an infographic that includes the achievements of the Premarital Examination Initiative.
 
The Ministry of Health and Population said that medical examinations were conducted for 3 million and 109 thousand young men and women, as part of the President's initiative to "Premarital medical tests" over the course of two years since the initiative was launched in February 2023, under the slogan "100 Million Healthy lives".
 
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed the issuance of 2 million and 827 thousand health certificates documented and secured with (QR Code) for those intending to get married, explaining that the certificates are valid for 6 months from the date of issuance, noting the necessity of conducting the examinations within a period of no less than 14 days before completing the marriage, to receive the results and obtain the health certificate.
