Egypt, Morocco review co-operation in industrial, transport sectors

CAIRO - 5 February 2025: Egyptian Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel Wazir had talks on Wednesday with Moroccan Ambassador to Egypt Mohamed Ait Ouali on means of enhancing co-operation in the fields of industry and transport. 

They reviewed means of Egyptian companies’ participation in infrastructure projects in Morocco, including sports facilities related to the 2030 World Cup.

Wazir underlined the depth of the Egyptian-Moroccan ties, stressing the Egyptian government’s commitment to increasing joint co-operation. 

He referred to the launch of the Marrakesh Declaration last year aimed at fostering collaboration in various transport sectors, highlighting co-operation in the industrial domain.

He noted that Egypt is implementing a comprehensive plan to develop the industrial sector in order to turn Egypt into a a regional industrial hub in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He said Egypt is open up for co-operating with all world countries, especially the Arab ones, highlighting promising opportunities in the industrial domain.
