CAIRO – 26 July 2017: Four Hasm terrorists were killed early morning on Wednesday in a fire exchange with police when attempting to arrest them in an apartment they were hiding in 6 October City.
Arms and ammunitions were ceased and public prosecution delegates started site investigation.
Experts from forensic lab headed to the apartment to conduct evidence gathering, and to compare void shots with the arms used in the attack on Badrashin checkpoint incurring the death of five policemen and officers on July 15, and in the attack on Ayat fees collection station on July 5 resulting in the death of two officers and a soldier.
What’s more, the arms stolen from the Badrashin checkpoint were found at place as they were used by terrorists in the fire exchange.
Police forces have set a cordon in the area where the terrorists were hiding in Abou El-Wafa residences.
Security forces were informed on the location of the terrorists through the National Security Agency (NSA).
Earlier, eight Hasm terrorists were killed in fire exchange with Police in Fayoum governorate. Five others were arrested in Giza and Sharqia governorates, the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday.
Police forces found rifles, birdshots, ammunitions, fuel, petrochemical substances, and two motorcycles in their hiding places equipped with all accommodation facilities.
Documents containing plans for intended future attacks were also found in two of their hiding places.
