He further reiterated France's total rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians.

Speaking during a press conference held on Monday, the ambassador expressed appreciation of Egypt's central role in resolving regional crises.

Egypt is considered a major partner in restoring peace and security in the region, he went on to say.

He, meanwhile, affirmed that Egypt and France share identical viewpoint toward the various regional issues.

The ambassador also extended thanks to Egypt over its role in releasing a French hostage last Saturday.

He also referred to Egypt's relentless efforts in reaching an agreement to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

France exerted strenuous efforts in cooperation with Egypt to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, he added.

The ambassador also said that France will intensify its efforts within the upcoming period with Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent to increase humanitarian aid.

He also said that Paris announced that it will co-chair with Saudi Arabia a conference in June in the UN regarding the two-state solution.

The two-state solution is the only way to establish a just and lasting peace, he affirmed.
