CAIRO – 2 February 2025: President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi received Sunday Djiboutian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mahmoud Ali Youssef as they discussed ways of reinforcing bilateral cooperation in various fields, and conferred over the circumstances in the Horn of Africa.
The meeting, attended by the foreign minister and Djiboutian ambassador, tackled the efforts deployed to reinstate security and stability in the region, conditions in Somalia and the Red Sea.
In that regard, President Sisi stressed Egypt's support to Somalia's unity, stability and safety. Further, the two sides agreed on working jointly to restore security in Bab El Mandeb Strait and normal navigation in the Red Sea.
