Foreign Min. receives world-renowned surgeon Dr. Magdi Yacoub

CAIRO - 1 February 2025: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdelaaty, received Dr. Magdi Yacoub today, Saturday, where Minister Abdel Aati congratulated him on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the launch of the "Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation".

 

Minister Abdelaaty praised Dr. Yacoub's recent unprecedented medical achievement in developing heart valves, and the role of the foundation as a global medical institution in the field of heart surgeries, wishing him continued health and wellness in giving and serving humanity.

 

Minister Abdelaaty also expressed the Egyptian state's appreciation for the valuable contributions made by Dr. Magdi Yacoub, through the launch of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation and the Aswan Heart Center, which provides free, high-quality medical services to patients in Egypt and the region.

 

The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the establishment of the "Rwanda-Egypt Heart Center", which will provide world-class medical care in the heart of the African continent. In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed full support for Dr. Magdi Yacoub's humanitarian and medical initiatives inside and outside Egypt.
