CAIRO - 29 January 2025: A Turkish aid ship carrying 870 tons of humanitarian aid has arrived at the port of Arish, aiming to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing relief efforts to confront the humanitarian crisis that the Strip has been experiencing since the outbreak of the aggression.

The aid arriving on board the Turkish ship includes food supplies, electric generators, mobile health cabins, tents, blankets, and shelter supplies, with the aim of providing the basic needs of Palestinian families affected by the current crisis. This support comes as part of the ongoing humanitarian operation that aims to alleviate the suffering of the population in Gaza and provide the minimum necessities of life in light of the harsh conditions they are living in.

The Egyptian Red Crescent received the shipment immediately upon its arrival at the port of Arish, where a specialized team began making the necessary arrangements to transport the aid to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah land crossing, which witnesses a daily flow of trucks loaded with aid from various local and international parties.

In this context, officials from the Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that this shipment comes within a series of international aid received through Egyptian ports and outlets, confirming Egypt's pivotal role in supporting humanitarian efforts for the benefit of the Palestinian people.

The Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that it will continue its efforts in cooperation with civil society institutions and international relief organizations to ensure the continued flow of aid, noting that relief teams are working around the clock to ensure the rapid entry of supplies into Gaza, with priority given to medicines, medical supplies and necessary shelter materials.

This step comes within the framework of the major humanitarian role played by Egypt through providing logistical facilities and receiving international aid and delivering it to the Strip, which reflects its firm position in supporting the Palestinian people.

The Rafah border crossing is witnessing a continuous flow of international aid, as it has become a basic lifeline for the residents of Gaza, in light of international efforts aimed at alleviating the ongoing humanitarian suffering in the Strip.
