CAIRO – 25 December 2024: Chairman of the National Media Authority, Ahmed Al-Muslimani issued on Wednesday a directive to all channels, radio stations and websites affiliated with the Authority to ban hosting fortune-tellers and astrologers.
The Chairman of the Authority called for exploring the future of the region and the world through scientific thinking, the rules of logic, and the data of political science along with other sciences, and to seek assistance in this regard from scientists, experts, academics and intellectuals.
He also called for staying away from promoting the superstitions of astrologers and charlatans, no matter how famous they are, who aim to insult the mind, belittle knowledge and establish false fame on random expectations that have no basis.
Muslimani, stated that the role of media is to confront ignorance, glorify science, and promote logic.
