CAIRO – 11 June 2024: President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan expressed Tuesday their rejection to the displacement of Palestinians from their territories during their meeting on the sidelines of the Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza Conference.

President El-Sisi and Jordan’s King reiterated their call for concerted international efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution. This solution shall ensure the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian State, along the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

President El-Sisi and King Abdullah II agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and consultations with regard to developments in the Gaza Strip, which was embodied in their joint call to convene the Conference on Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza.

This call was grounded in the two leaders’ firm belief in the vital need for immediate and urgent action to mobilize international efforts to address the massive and dire humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the sector.
