CAIRO - 10 June 2024: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, received Ambassador Frank Hartmann, Ambassador of Germany to Cairo, and Ambassador Georg Postinger, Ambassador of Austria to Cairo, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
 
These meetings came to determine the situation of the tourists who booked their trips to Egypt with the German Travel and Tourism Group FTI, which recently declared bankruptcy, and who are currently present in various Egyptian tourist destinations, and to ensure that they receive the services they were promised in accordance with the contracts concluded, and the position of the dues of hotel establishments and Egyptian tourism companies contracting with the group.
 
These two meetings were attended by Professor Youmna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Minister’s Office Affairs, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister for Institutional Communication and the Ministry’s official spokesman, and Ambassador Khaled Tharwat, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and General Supervisor of the General Administration of International Relations and Agreements in the Ministry.
