Egyptian FM meets with Cuban counterpart

CAIRO – 10 June 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry met Monday with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez on the sidelines of a BRICS meeting in Russia to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchange views on the war in Gaza Strip.

In a 2023 phone call with Rodriguez, Minister Shokry expressed Egypt's aspiration to bolster economic cooperation and trade with Cuba, expressing appreciation for the current coordination with the Latin American state in the framework of the international community.
