CAIRO - 29 May 2024: The first groups of Hajj pilgrims will depart on Wednesday, on board the fleet of the national company EgyptAir, on flight No. MS1693, to transport pilgrims from Gharbia and Menoufia.
 
On the first day of the deployment, the company will operate 16 flights to the Saudi Arabia, with 6 flights to Jeddah and 10 flights to Medina, including 4 flights to transport pilgrims from Bamako and Conakry, and a flight from Burj Al Arab to Jeddah.
 
EgyptAir announced instructions for pilgrims traveling from Egyptian airports to the Holy Lands to perform Hajj this year.
 
EgyptAir said that in order to ensure the comfort of pilgrims, please follow the following travel guidelines:
 
- On the outbound flight, it is necessary to be at Egyptian airports four hours before travel time.
 
- On the return trip, it is necessary to be in the pilgrims’ city in Jeddah six hours before the travel time, and at Medina Airport six hours before the travel time.
 
- Two bags are allowed, each weighing no more than 23 kg, and a hand luggage weighing 8 kg. The excess weight will be charged in cash.
 
- Zamzam water bottles authorized by the Saudi authorities (Zamzam watering can) are allowed.
 
- It is strictly prohibited to bring cloth bags and luggage.
 
- The necessity of adhering to health procedures and submitting the required certificates.
