CAIRO – 27 May 2024: Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned barbaric attacks by Israeli occupation forces on a tent camp sheltering displaced Palestinian civilians in Rafah, which left dozens of them burnt alive.

In a statement, Al-Azhar lamented that the Israeli occupation army committed its “heinous crime while the whole world is watching.”

Al-Azhar called on the international community to take a decisive and urgent stance in order to implement the decisions and rulings issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israel, foremost among which are to immediately stop the terrorist aggression against the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, open Rafah border crossing for the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip, and stop the brutal Israeli killing machine.
