Madbouly made the remarks as he received on Wednesday Tulia Ackson, Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania and Speaker of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

The prime minister talked about exchanged visits between the political leaderships of both countries in recent years.

Madbouly also lauded the volume of Egyptian investments in Tanzania in various fields, noting that Egypt is among countries with the biggest investments in the East African nation.

However, more efforts have to be made to boost trade between both countries as they do not live up to the level of distinguished political relations, he said.

He also pointed out to the construction of the Julius Nyerere Dam in Tanzania through a joint venture of two Egyptian companies: the Arab Contractors and El-Sewedy Electric.
