CAIRO – 22 May 2024: An official source told Egypt Today Wednesday that Egypt had not changed the terms of the draft ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip after the primary approval of parties involved.

The source stated that the sources CNN relied upon were not credible, and that they provided inaccurate and unsubstantiated information.

The source stressed that Egypt was still an honest mediator that is committed to accomplishing peace and stability in the region, and that works on fulfilling the interests of all parties ensuring their safety and security.

The source further pointed out that Egypt had been coordinating with all international partners to guarantee the success of ceasefire negotiations, and the achievement of positive outcomes for all.

The source concluded his statements by urging press to fact-check the information and verify the credibility of sources before publishing/broadcasting reports that would negatively influence endeavors aimed at peace and stability in the region.
