CAIRO - 15 May 2024: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Jordanian and Iraqi counterparts Ayman Al-Safadi and Fouad Hussein held a Tuesday meeting to discuss their nations’ tripartite cooperation mechanism.

On the sidelines of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers meeting in Manama, Shoukry said their cooperation is a model for joint Arab action, adding that Egypt is against any attempts that undermine their stability.

He emphasized that economic relations should keep pace with the political successes achieved in recent years. The mechanism aims to maximize the benefits of the three countries in terms of their common interests.

Shoukry also reviewed Egypt’s strenuous efforts to supply Gaza with humanitarian aid, and the pivotal role it plays in working to reach an immediate, comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
