CAIRO – 31 March 2024: Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare Ahmed al-Sobky stated Sunday that over 35 percent of surgeries needed by the Palestinian injured who had been transferred to Egyptian hospitals were carried out.
The official noted that 52 percent of the patients were children aged below 18, and that 49 percent were females. He also added that the success rate of those surgeries was 100 percent.
A source in North Sinai stated that over 5,000 injured Palestinians were receiving treatment in Egypt as they had been distributed among 85 hospitals, and that they were accompanied by around 6,000 family members.
